Police report an arrest and incidents of theft and identity theft.
The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.
Arrest
- Eric S. Valdivieso, 23, of Rockville Center, was arrested on Aug. 21 and charged with DWI at the intersection of Park Street and Troy Avenue in East Atlantic Beach.
Theft, identity theft

- A laptop, digital camera, iPod, sunglasses and assorted clothing were taken from a vehicle that was parked on Fulton Street in Woodmere, a complainant reported to police on Aug. 19.
- Four tomato plants were removed from the front yard of a residence on Christina Street in Inwood, a complainant reported to police on Aug. 20.
- A GPS unit and $4 were taken from a vehicle that was parked in a driveway on Cumberland Place in Lawrence, a complainant reported to police on Aug. 20.
- A resident of Jeanette Avenue in Inwood reported to police on Aug. 20 that they were the victim of identity theft when an unknown person fraudulently used the victim's name and social security number to obtain services with National Grid.
