Fourth Precinct Report, Aug. 23-30

Police report arrests and incidents of theft and identity theft.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrests

  • Kelly King, 39, of Far Rockaway, was arrested on Aug. 25 and charged with shoplifting assorted merchandise valued at $111.38 at on Rockaway Turnpike in North Woodmere.
  • Azad Anthony Yusuf, 18, of Far Rockaway, was arrested on Aug. 26 and charged with shoplifting assorted clothing at Marshalls on Rockaway Turnpike in North Lawrence.

Theft

  • A resident of Inwood reported to police on Aug. 24 that they were the victim of identity theft when an unknown person attempted to conduct a $10,000 wire transfer to a bank in Florida.
  • A GPS unit was taken from a vehicle that was parked on Highland Place in Woodmere, a complainant reported to police on Aug. 24.
  • Tires and rims were removed from a vehicle that was parked on Sheridan Boulevard in Inwood, a complainant reported to police on Aug. 27.
  • A complainant reported to police on Aug. 29 that while she was shopping at on Central Avenue in Lawrence, an unknown person took a cell phone, cosmetic bag and notebook from her handbag.
