Fourth Precinct Report, Aug. 9-16

Police report arrests and incidents of theft and damage.

The following information was supplied by the Lynbrook and Nassau County police departments. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrests

  • Bruce Elder, 47 of Inwood, was arrested on Aug. 8 and charged with menacing in the third degree, which occurred on Starks Place in Lynbrook.
  • Nasreen Yousuf, 44, of Hewlett, was arrested on Aug. 12 and charged with unlawful dealing with a child for selling tobacco products to a minor, which occurred at the Quality Convenience store at 188 Hempstead Ave.
  • Meenuksh Goolcharan, 19, of Richmond Hill, was arrested on Aug. 12 and charged with the theft of assorted merchandise at , located on Rockaway Turnpike in Meadowmere.

  • An unknown person(s) damaged the complainant’s PVC fence, which is located on Fordham Lane in Woodmere, causing about $248 worth of damage, they reported to police on Aug. 10.
  • A GPS unit was removed from a vehicle that was parked at Temple on Woodmere Place in Woodmere, a complainant reported to police on Aug. 12.
  • An insurance card, library card, debit card, checkbook, credit cards, New York State vehicle registration and a wallet were taken from a vehicle that was parked on Broadway in Cedarhurst, a complainant reported to police on Aug. 14.
  • An unknown person(s) kicked in the rear quarter panel of the victim’s vehicle, which was parked on Broadway in Hewlett, they reported to police on Aug. 15.
