Fourth Precinct Report, Feb. 28 to March 7

Police report incidents of theft, damage and identity theft.

  • An unknown person(s) on Feb. 4 took a propane buffer from the Michael's at 253-01 Rockaway Turnpike in Meadowmere.
  • A single pane and the handle of the side door to a garage on Wanser Avenue in Inwood were broken on Feb. 28.
  • An unknown person(s) caused damage on Feb. 28 to the lock of a vehicle that was parked on Winchester Place in Lawrence.
  • Four tires on a vehicle that was parked on Club Drive in Woodmere were slashed on March 2.
  • An unknown person(s) on March 3 removed a radio from a vehicle that was parked in a garage on Lawrence Avenue in North Lawrence.
  • A GPS unit was stolen on March 3 from a vehicle that was parked on Chestnut Street in Cedarhurst after its window was broken.
  • An unknown person(s) on March 3 broke the window of a vehicle that was parked on McGlyna Place in Cedarhurst and removed a GPS unit.
  • A resident of Crystal Court in Hewlett reported to police on March 3 that they were the victim of identity theft when an unknown person(s) opened several fraudulent credit cards in their name.
  • A wallet was taken from a handbag on March 6 while the victim was shopping at the at 253-01 Rockaway Turnpike in Meadowmere.
  • An unknown person(s) on March 6 took $10 from an unlocked vehicle that was parked on Lawrence Avenue in Lawrence.
  • A resident of Central Avenue in Cedarhurst reported to police on March 6 that they were the victim of identity theft when multiple fraudulent charges were made on their Visa credit card.
