Fourth Precinct Report, July 17-25

Police report arrests for shoplifting and DWI and incidents of theft and mischief.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

  • Joshua E. Niles, 31, of Jamaica, was arrested on July 18 and charged with DWI at the intersection of Route 878 and Bayview Avenue in Inwood.
  • An unknown person(s) between July 18 and 19 egged a vehicle that was parked on Grant Avenue in Woodmere.
  • Sonia G. Rodriguez, 37, and Melissa Rodriguez, 17, both of Far Rockaway, were arrested on July 19 and charged with shoplifting at the Marshalls at 345 Rockaway Turnpike in North Lawrence.
  • An unknown person(s) between July 19 and 20 removed an EZ-Pass from a vehicle that was parked on Grove Avenue in Cedarhurst.
  • An unknown person(s) on July 21 threw a brick through the rear passenger window of a vehicle that was parked on Davis Avenue in Inwood.
  • An unknown person(s) on July 21 caused damage to the chain link fence surrounding LIPA’s facilities at 455 Mill Rd. in Hewlett.
