Fourth Precinct Report, June 21 to 28

Police report incidents of identity theft, theft and mischief.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

  • A Hewlett resident reported being the victim of identity theft on June 22 when multiple fraudulent charges were made on their Bank of America debit card.
  • An unknown perpetrator(s) shot two holes using a BB gun into the front passenger door and one hole into the back driver’s side door of a vehicle that was parked on Cynthia Court in Hewlett, a complainant reported to police on June 23.
  • Personal papers, shoes, sunglasses, credits cards and a wallet were taken from a vehicle that was parked on Herkimer Avenue in Hewlett, a complainant reported to police on June 23.
  • An unknown person(s) caused about $300 worth of damage to a group mailbox in a Lawrence apartment building on Central Avenue, a complainant reported to police on June 23.
  • A cell phone charger was removed from a vehicle that was parked on Richmond Place in Lawrence, the victim reported to police on June 24.
  • The rear driver’s side tire of a vehicle that was parked on Spruce Street in Cedarhurst was slashed, the victim reported to police on June 24.
  • An unknown person(s) threw eggs at a vehicle parked on Kenridge Road in Lawrence, a complainant reported to police on June 26.
