Fourth Precinct Report, March 20-27

Police report arrests for shoplifting and incidents of theft, damage and identity theft.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrests

  • Cesar L. Campos, 34, of Inwood, was arrested on March 25 and charged with shoplifting while at the at 603 Burnside Ave. in Inwood.
  • Thomas V. Garone, 46, of Long Beach, was arrested on March 25 and charged with shoplifting at the Stop & Shop at 603 Burnside Ave. in Inwood.

  • A resident of Daub Avenue in Hewlett reported to police on March 22 that they were the victim of identity theft when a fraudulent Sprint account was opened in their name.
  • An unknown person(s) on March 23 shattered the passenger side window of a vehicle that was parked on Crestview Avenue in North Woodmere.
  • An unknown person(s) on March 24 took a GPS unit and car charger from a vehicle that was parked on Cedar Lane in Cedarhurst.
  • An unknown person(s) on March 25 removed a cell phone and a checkbook from an unlocked vehicle that was parked on Morris Avenue in Inwood.
  • A resident of Roger Avenue in Inwood reported to police on March 25 that they were the victim of identity theft when a fraudulent transaction was made on their credit card.
