Fourth Precinct Report, March 29 to April 5

Police reports an arrest and incidents of theft, damage and fraud.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrests/thefts/violations

  • Monfreid Milord, 30, of Jamaica, was arrested on March 17 and charged with conducting fraudulent returns starting on Jan. 6 while employed at in North Lawrence.
  • A resident of Kenridge Road in Lawrence reported to police on April 1 that five gutters were removed from their residence.
  • Police officers, responding to a disturbance call on April 3 at the Broadway Lounge in Hewlett, found that the music was excessively loud and other numerous violations.

Damage

  • A complainant reported to police on March 31 that their vehicle was keyed while it was parked on Broadway in Hewlett.
  • A complainant reported to police on April 1 that an unknown person keyed both sides of their vehicle, which was parked on Willow Avenue in Cedarhurst, and caused a dent on the hood. The air from all four tires was also let out.
  • An unknown substance was thrown on a vehicle parked on Burnside Avenue in Inwood on April 2, causing damage to the paint, police reported. Four vehicles at Service & Repair were also scratched with an unknown object.
  • A resident of Norwich Avenue in Hewlett reported to police on April 3 that an unknown person shattered their vehicle’s rear windshield.
  • A resident of Bermuda Street in Atlantic Beach reported to police on April 3 that the rear window of their residence was damaged.

Fraud/identity theft

  • A resident of Woodmere Boulevard in Woodmere reported to police on March 14 that they were the victim of identity theft when fraudulent charges were made on their American Express credit card.
  • A resident of Forest Avenue in Woodmere reported to police on March 15 that they were the victim of identity theft when fraudulent charges were made at Macy's on their credit card.
  • A resident of New Street in Hewlett reported to police on March 25 that they were the victim of identity theft when multiple fraudulent cell phone accounts were opened in their name.
  • A resident of Fordham Lane in Woodmere reported to police on April 1 that they were the victim of identity theft when an unknown person opened a fraudulent account at Raymour and Flanagan in their name.
