Police report incidents of theft, mischief and identity theft.

  • A resident of Ocean Avenue in Lawrence reported to police on May 1 being the victim of identity theft when an unknown person(s) used their social security number to file taxes.
  • An unknown person(s) on May 10 broke the lock to a caged-in area in the rear of Gourmet Glatt Emporium, located on Spruce Street in Cedarhurst.
  • An unknown person(s) between May 12 and 13 took two bicycles from a shed on Greenfield Road in Woodmere.
  • An unknown person between May 12 and 13 removed loose change and a handbag from an unlocked vehicle that was parked on Hazel Place in Woodmere.
