Fourth Precinct Report, Nov. 23-29

Police report an arrest and incidents of theft, mischief and identity theft.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrests

  • Piter Guttman, 41, of Cedarhurst, was arrested on Nov. 25 and charged with shoplifting an Xbox 360 and Kinect sensor at the on Rockaway Turnpike in North Woodmere.

Theft/damage/fraud

  • A resident of Prospect Avenue in Hewlett reported to police on Oct. 22 that they were the victim of identity theft when multiple fraudulent transactions were made to their credit card.
  • A resident of Atlantic Boulevard in Atlantic Beach reported to police on Nov. 21 that there was damage to their vehicle, which was parked on the street.
  • An AC/DC adapter, assorted household tools and fishing knives were missing from a vehicle that was parked on Doughty Boulevard in Lawrence, a complainant reported to police on Nov. 25.
  • An iPod and $10 was taken from a vehicle that was parked on Harbor Drive in Cedarhurst, a complainant reported to police on Nov. 27.
  • The side view mirror and $40 in quarters was stolen from a vehicle that was parked on Oakland Avenue in Woodmere, a complainant reported to police on Nov. 27.
  • A resident of Westwood Road in Woodmere reported to police on Nov. 27 that there was damage to their vehicle, which was parked in front of their residence.
