Fourth Precinct Report, Oct. 18-25

Police report an arrest for DWI and thefts from vehicles.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrest

  • John McDonough, 47, of Woodmere, was arrested on Oct. 20 and charged with DWI at the intersection of Central Avenue and Cedarhurst Avenue in Cedarhurst.

Theft

  • A GPS unit was taken from a vehicle that was parked on Bayview Avenue in Inwood, a complainant reported to police on Oct. 18.
  • Sunglasses, a GPS unit and a digital camera were removed from a vehicle that was parked on Franklin Avenue in Hewlett, a complainant reported to police on Oct. 21.
  • An unknown person took a bicycle from the side of a Yale Street residence in Inwood, a complainant reported to police on Oct. 23.
  • An iPhone charger and $35 were taken from a vehicle that was parked on Mora Place in Woodmere, a complainant reported to police on Oct. 23.
  • An EZ Pass and $10 were removed from a vehicle that was parked in a Kirby Avenue driveway in Woodmere, a complainant reported to police on Oct. 24.
