Hewlett High School Put on Lockdown
Staff member received a note alleging student had a gun.
Hewlett High School was put on lockdown Friday morning after an anonymous note given to a staff member said that a student had a gun, according to a district official.
The school was put on lockdown and police officers arrived at the school to do an investigation, said Joseph DiBartolo, a district business administrator. No gun was found.
The lockdown was lifted after about an hour.
