How Safe Do You Feel? [POLL]

In light of recent crime in the Five Towns, Patch questions residents about safety in their neighborhood.

With yesterday's about Marc Ringel hiding a cache of weapons and drugs in his parents Woodmere home and a string of other crimes in the Five Towns lately, Patch wants to know about residents' sense of security.

Since the beginning of the year, Five Towns Patch has reported on multiple robberies at Lawrence, Cedarhurst and Hewlett businesses. Crime in residential areas has also plagued Hewlett, Inwood and the local train station.

Whether you feel crime is the same or it has increased lately, sound off in our poll and in the comments section.

The politicians in NY don’t want you to have a gun ftptch. They have permits for themselves so they are not really anti-gun; they just don’t want YOU or me to have a gun.

I don't own guns because of my young children, but God help the person who comes into my home uninvited. You can do a lot of damage with the proper training, home field advantage and weapons that don't require a permit.
