Inwood Structure Fire Put Out by Departments

Flames were doused before evacuation considerations.

The Inwood Fire Department responded to a blaze on Wednesday in a wooden structure within a warehouse complex at 58 Nassau Ave. The site was the scene of a previous multiple alarm fire back in August.

The blaze caused police to consider evacuating some nearby residents due to concerns that the fire might spread to a few adjoining homes, but fire units quickly doused the flames and additional problems were averted.

Several surrounding departments assisted at the fire including Woodmere, Lawrence-Cedarhurst and Meadowmere Park.
