North Woodmere House Destroyed by Fire

Blaze spreads through basement to the rest of the house.

The Hewlett Fire Department on Thursday, Jan. 31, responded to a call for a house fire on Fairview Avenue in North Woodmere.

Upon arrival, the Hewlett FD chief found the basement of the house fully involved in fire. Due to heavy wind conditions, the fire spread throughout the entire house and the home was completely destroyed.
