Nearby: Long Beach Teens Charged in Baldwin Robbery

Two Long Beach youths were charged with robbery for an incident in Baldwin on Wednesday.

According to Nassau County Police Department, a- 17-year-old male was walking northbound on Grand Avenue when two male subjects approached him at about 8:20 p.m. Dec. 11. The subjects demanded his cell phone and he handed it to them. When the subjects walked away the victim followed them, and one of the subject’s produced a black hand gun as he and the other subject entered a silver Hyundai occupied by two male who were waiting for them.

The victim called police and gave a description of the vehicle, and officers from the First Precinct in Baldwin responded to the scene and observed a vehicle that fit the description and stopped it. Police recovered a black pellet gun and the victims’ cell phone.   

After an investigation, the officers arrested Markane Dixon, 16, and Ryankane Dixon-Harley, 22, both of Long Beach, and Marcus Reid, 16 and Rahmesh Crosley, 17, both of Baldwin, and charged each suspect with second-degree robbery.

Police said Reid and Dixon-Harley were the two subjects that approached the victim, while Dixon and Rahmesh Crosley were inside the vehicle at the time of the robbery.

The four suspects will be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.
