The mother and sister of , the Inwood shop owner who allegedly drugged and raped one of his employees then tried to hire a hit man to kill him, pleaded not guilty on Thursday to their alleged roles in the murder-for-hire plot.
also both agreed to orders of protection that bar them from contacting the victim. Both were released on their own recognizance.
Mary Miller, a secretary at , is accused of stealing the 17-year-old victim’s school file, according to prosecutors. She intended to give them to a private investigator that was gathering information on the victim to help Daniel Miller’s case. It’s unclear whether she knew about the murder-for-hire plot, prosecutors said.
Ann Miller allegedly handed over the file to someone with the hope of discrediting or deterring the teen from testifying.
Daniel Miller has pleaded not guilty to the sex abuse charges and hiring a would-be hit man for $15,000 to kill his alleged victim.
