NCPD Reports Armed Robbery in Cedarhurst

Male victim attacked and robbed at gunpoint; no injuries reported.

An teenager walking home early Thursday morning was attacked and robbed in Cedarhurst, according to Nassau County Police.

The victim was an 18-year-old male who was walking home on Washington Avenue, according to police. At approximately 12:35 a.m., the victim was attacked by an unknown assailant, who jumped on his back and knocked him to the ground. The subject then displayed a hand gun and removed an undetermined amount of US currency and a cell phone from the victim’s pockets. 

The subject then fled on foot east on Oak Avenue. No injuries were reported.

The assailant was described by the victim as being male, African-American, 6’0” tall, slim build, and wearing dark pants, a white tank top, and a dark mask.
