A 45-year-old North Woodmere man who suffers from mental retardation was reported missing early Sunday after he didn’t show up at his job.
A Silver Alert, which is issued when a senior citizen or other individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or other cognitive disorders goes missing, was sent out at 2:01 a.m. for Ali Kahn.

Kahn is described as 5 foot 4 inches, 110 pounds with black hair and black eyes.
Police said Kahn was on his way to work at the Western Beef on Merrick Boulevard in Springfield Gardens, but never arrived. He was last seen at 1040 Lawrence Ct. in North Woodmere on Friday at 4 p.m. wearing a black winter jacket and blue jeans.
