Play Set Stolen, Bike Taken from School, June 25 to July 1

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

The Fourth Precinct reports the following incidents of theft:

  • An unknown suspect(s) on June 25 stole miscellaneous items from the complainant's white GMC pickup truck, which was parked on Leroy Avenue in Cedarhurst.

  • The complainant reported to police that between June 23 to 26 two bicycles were taken from their Genesse Boulevard garage in Atlantic Beach.

  • A complainant reported to police on June 27 that an unknown person(s) stole a pair of hedge clippers from the side of their Carol Avenue house in Woodmere.

  • An unknown suspect(s) on June 28 stole a play set from a Milton Place backyard in Woodmere.

  • An unknown suspect(s) on July 1 stole a bike that was chained to a bike rack at Lawrence High School.

  • Henry Alvarez, 42, of East Elmhurst, was arrested on June 28 and charged with DWI at Sheridan Boulevard and Bayview Avenue in Inwood.

    The Fourth Precinct said the following individuals were arrested and charged with shoplifting:

    • Joseph Cepeda, 32, of Hempstead, at the Home Depot in Green Acres Mall on June 25

    • Fred Smith, 17, of Inwood, at the Macy’s in Green Acres Mall on June 25

    • Christina Singh, 17, of Jamaica, at the H&M in Green Acres Mall on June 26

    • Kareen Porter, 17, of Jamaica, at the Kohl’s in Green Acres Mall on June 26

    • Robert Decosimo, 49, of Elmont, at the Walmart in Green Acres Mall on June 26

  • Tijuana Green, 43, of Springfield Gardens, at the Walmart in Green Acres Mall on June 28

  • George Hogan, 52, of South Ozone Park, at the Home Depot in Green Acres Mall on June 30

  • Monique Wallace, 21, and Lillith Gordon-Powell, both of Brooklyn, at the Walmart in Green Acres Mall on July 1
