Police: Man Robbed at Knifepoint Near Woodmere Train Station

Perpetrator stole cash and car keys before fleeing on foot, detectives said.

A man sitting in his car Monday morning near the Woodmere train station was robbed at knifepoint, according to police.

The 33-year-old victim was in his vehicle around 7 a.m. at Woodmere Boulevard and Station Plaza when an unknown man allegedly came up to the driver’s side window, took out a knife and demanded the victim’s wallet, police said. The alleged robber, who stole an unknown amount of cash and car keys, then fled on foot where he met up with an unknown woman. No injuries were reported, police said.

The alleged perpetrator is described as a white 46- to 47-year-old man, 5’10” and 220 pounds wearing blue jeans, a green jacket, wool cap and sunglasses, according to police. The woman is described as white and wearing a long black jacket with a hood.
