Police: Man Shot In Front of Inwood Home

Victim sustained non-life threatening injuries; suspect still at large.

Nassau County Police are investigating an assault that occurred in front of an Inwood home on Jeannette Avenue early Saturday morning.

According to police, a group of men were standing around when a verbal argument ensured and one person shot another in the upper back around 2 a.m.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his non-life threatening injury.  The subject fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

The unknown subject is described as a black male with braided hair, wearing a blue sweatshirt.
