Police: Woodmere Man Stole $600K From Shul

Congregation Aish Kodesh's treasurer allegedly transferred money into his own accounts.

A Woodmere man who served as the treasurer of a local shul was arrested early Wednesday after he allegedly stole $600,000 from the congregation, police said.

Isaac Zucker, 47, apparently transferred the money from ’s bank account into his personal accounts, according to police. After members of Aish Kodesh discovered the misappropriation, they informed police, who arrested Zucker at the Holiday Inn at the Long Island Macarthur Airport in Ronkonkoma.

Zucker is being charged with grand larceny in the second degree and is scheduled to be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Wednesday.
