Recovery Worker in Woodmere is Missing

Silver Alert issued for 23-year-old man last night.

A possibly suicidal man that was in Woodmere as part of a storm recovery cleanup crew from California was reported missing last night by the Nassau County Police Department.

A Silver Alert, which is issued when a senior citizen or other individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or other cognitive disorders goes missing, was issued for Brandon J. Manners, 23, at 9:35 p.m. Wednesday.

Manners, who has a history of heroin abuse, was last seen in Bushwick on Nov. 28. He may be using the subway system as shelter.

He is described as 6-foot-1-inches, 190 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Manners has a line on his middle finger, possibly the right hand, that “looks like a mustache.”
