Crimes Nearby: Rosedale Man Arrested for Fatal Shooting

A Rosedale man was arrested Wednesday for the fatal January shooting of a Hempstead man, according to police.

William Flowers, 31, of 149-88 255th St., was arrested in Rhode Island and charged with second-degree murder.

Police said that on Jan. 30 at 6 p.m., Hempstead police responded to a call for shots fired in the back of 600 Fulton Ave. They found James Warren, 29, of Hempstead, lying on the sidewalk. Warren was transported to Nassau University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead by hospital personnel at 6:47 p.m.
