Struck Pedestrian Airlifted to Hospital

Woman was hit by car in Woodmere Monday afternoon.

A 22-year-old woman struck by a car in Woodmere was airlifted to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow on Monday, according to police.

The woman — whose identity and condition have not been released — was crossing the intersection at Woodmere Boulevard and West Broadway at about 4:45 p.m. when she was hit by a 2004 Toyota.

She was airlifted from the campus of Lawrence Woodmere Academy.
