Teen Caught With Stolen Game Console at Cedarhurst Home, Police Say

North Woodmere 17-year-old broke into home after being shorted cash for drugs.

A North Woodmere teen was busted on Tuesday for busting into a Cedarhurst home and stealing an Xbox video game console, according to police.

Maurice Moore, 17, who allegedly had been shorted cash for a marijuana transaction, apparently entered an Atlantic Avenue home around 1 p.m. after shattering the rear glass door, police said. He then took the console. Police responded to the scene, where they arrested Moore.

The Xbox was recovered. No injuries were reported.

Moore is being charged with burglary and criminal sale of marijuana. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday in First District Court in Hempstead.
