Three Cashiers Arrested for Selling Beer to Minors
Three arrests were made at two delis in Inwood and a gas station in Island Park.
Three local cashiers were arrested Friday for selling beer to minors in Inwood and Island Park.
The following defendants, while employed as cashiers, sold beer to an underage agent at:
Doughty Deli, located at 50 Doughty Blvd. in Inwood. The defendant is Wali Ullah, 65, of Brentwood.
24 Mart, located at 15 A Bayview Ave. in Inwood. The defendant is Mohammad Hossain, 33, of Inwood.
Petro Gas Station, 4305 Austin Blvd. in Island Park. The defendant is Qiyong Weng, 30, of Queens.
All three defendants are being charged with Prohibited Sale of an Alcoholic Beverage and Unlawfully Dealing with a Child. The defendants were released on Desk Appearance Tickets returnable on Nov. 16 in First District Court in Hempstead.
