Truck Fire Spreads to North Lawrence Home

Firefighters put out a fire Wednesday morning that started in a truck parked in a driveway and soon spread to a North Lawrence home, according to fire officials.

At about 5:26 a.m., the Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department was alerted to the blaze at 200 Randall Ave. The engine compartment of a contractor’s truck was fully on fire and then spread to the two-story occupied private home. Gas was also burning down the driveway.

A couple that was home was safely evacuated, officials said.
