Valley Stream Roslyn Savings Bank Robbed

Police are searching for a man who passed a demand note to a teller at the Roslyn Savings Bank in Valley Stream on Saturday and made off with a bag of cash.

At about 11:30 a.m. on May 11, the white male subject — described as being 47 to 52 years old, 5 foot 10 inches with a shaved head and light pale skin and wearing dark sunglasses, blue jeans, black athletic jacket and black shoes — entered the bank at 75 North Central Avenue and passed a note to a teller demanding money, police said. The subject then put an undetermined amount of cash in a black bag and fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Two customers and five employees were present at the time of the robbery. There were no weapons displayed or injuries reported.

Detectives ask anyone with information regarding this crime to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
