Valley Stream TD Bank Robbed by Two Men

One subject passed a demand note to a teller on Sunday.

Two men robbed the TD Bank in Valley Stream on Sunday after one of the men passed a demand note to a teller, police said.

At 1:15 p.m., the subjects entered the bank at 275 West Merrick Rd. The first subject — described as white, about 21 years old, 5 foot 8 inches with a medium build and medium to light complexion and wearing a black woolen hat and black sweatshirt — waited in the customer service line. The second subject — described as black, 18 to 21 years old, 5 foot 8 inches to 10 inches with a dark complexion and dark afro-style hair with a bleach white Mohawk in the middle of his head — took a seat in the customer service area.

The first man passed a demand note to the teller, who complied and gave him an unknown amount of money. The subjects then fled on foot eastbound on West Merrick Road. No injuries were reported. Five employees and eight customers were in the bank at the time.
