Weapons Found in Woodmere House, Police Say

Weapons, including two grenades, were apparently found at a house on Narrow Lane, according to police and reports.

Police have blocked off the surrounding streets, and units are parked outside the home. At least 20 nearby homes were evacuated as a precaution.

According to reports, an officer responded to an alarm in the area and saw a man standing in the driveway. After the man did not produce proper identification, he and the officer went into the house, where the cop noticed the smell of marijuana. He also saw what appeared to be two hand grenades and a semiautomatic weapon.

The arson/bomb squad is investigating the scene.
