Woodmere Apartment Building Evacuated Due to Fire

Firefighters had blaze under control shortly after.

Panicked residents lined the street of Ward Place in Woodmere after being evacuated from their apartment building on the corner of Hartwell Place, due to a fire that broke out late in the afternoon Monday.

Firefighters responded quickly to the scene and had the fire under control within a short time, and at this time are considering it an accident. Residents were allowed back into their apartments within an hour of the incident.
