Another Spill Reported at Bay Park Sewage Treatment Plant

According to the report, 30 gallons of 'digested sludge' spilled onto the ground around 5:15 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The spill was caused by "operator error."

The facility has been plagued with these incidents since Superstorm Sandy. In mid-May, 3 million gallons of wastewater poured into Reynolds Channel. Earlier this week a spill was also reported at the county-run Cedar Creek Plant in Wantagh.
