County to Host Halloween Party on Saturday

Nassau capital to be decorated as a haunted house and candy will be given out.

Due to downed trees and electric lines caused by Hurricane Sandy, many children are unable to celebrate Halloween. Accordingly, Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano has invited parents with children to a “Hurricane Sandy Trick-or-Treat Halloween Party” on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

County Executive Mangano's office, located in the Theodore Roosevelt Executive and Legislative Building at 1550 Franklin Avenue in Mineola, will be decorated as a haunted house for Halloween. Free candy will be handed out at various offices throughout the building and a best costume prize will be awarded to one lucky child.
