Watch: Mangano Tours Gold's Factory

Kosher food company named business of the month.

County Executive Edward Mangano toured Gold's Gold's Pure Food Products factory in Hempstead prior to Passover.

The family-owned and operated Gold's, which moved to Nassau County from Brooklyn in 1993, was named “Business of the Month.” Gold’s is famous for its horseradish, which the original owners chopped in their apartment in the 1930s.

Gold's has 65 employees and reported $12 million in sales in 2010. Its products are sold locally as well as internationally.
