McCarthy: Always Fight ‘Hatred, Evil and Complacency’

U.S. representative comments on Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D-Mineola) issued the following statement on the occasion of Holocaust Remembrance Day, which is officially observed on Monday, April 8.

“The U.S. Congress built the Holocaust Memorial Museum and established the weeklong Days of Remembrance, beginning with Holocaust Remembrance Day today, as our nation’s formal commemoration of one of the darkest episodes in human history.

“Good people of the world must never forget the horrific genocide that happened less than a century ago, and always fight to prevent the kind of hatred, evil and complacency that allowed it to happen.
