On Monday the Nassau County Legislature will take a vote that will determine how that lawmaking body will look going forward.
They will consider a redistricting map drawn by republicans that has drawn a torrent of criticism from Democrats.
The Republican drawn map will radically change legislative districts from their current look, a move that Democrats claim amounts to partisan gerrymandering designed to get more Republicans elected.
But GOP leaders insist the new districts are fair and would survive any court challenge mounted by their opponents.
Republicans currently hold a 10-9 majority in the legislature, giving their plan a good chance to pass, but we want to know if it would get your vote.
