The children were invited to participate in the program by reading books off a suggested reading list. Six different levels were set and each time a child achieved a level, he or she received a Monster Jam themed prize. The library with the most participants was awarded the grand prize of a real monster truck and driver visit.

“It was an honor to be a part of today’s great celebration and I commend all of the children that participated in the Reading with Monsters Program,” Mangano said.  “I thank Feld Entertainment, Monster Jam and the Nassau Library System for coordinating such a rewarding and educational experience.”
