Video: Pols Debate Proposed Legislative Redistricting

Rules Committee sends map to public hearing, which is scheduled for Monday.

Nassau Republicans' plan to the county passed the Rules Committee on Monday in a vote divided along partisan lines. The next step in the process is a public hearing on Monday at 10 a.m.

The proposal splits the Five Towns into two legislative districts — taking most of Woodmere and Inwood and half of Cedarhurst, and placing the areas into a newly created western 19th district.
