Inwood Storefront on Well-Trafficked Street Available

"Modern" corner store currently occupied by goods store.

A corner store that’s part of a well-trafficked strip mall on Burnside Avenue in Inwood is available to lease, according to its listing.

The 1,200 square-foot storefront at 535 Burnside Ave. can be leased for $2,950 a month. The LoopNet listing for the property says the retail storefront is “modern,” includes a private restroom, access to two parking lots and is situated by a traffic light.

Currently, the space is occupied by a general goods store, which is having an "everything must go" sale.

“This strip has been a consistent money maker for tenants,” according to the listing.

If it is such a good money maker why is it always available for rent?

That whole corner flooded terribly. Probably needs extensive renovation before renting out again. They can't hold onto tenants there. The parking lot is shared with three other businesses and it is small. Maybe 3-4 spaces. The store next to this business still hasn't re-opened since the storm. That whole piece of property from one corner to the next looks like derelict property. Needs a major facelift.

My apologies. The Music Center is ALIVE AND WELL. It's a storefront on another corner owned by the same owners as this property that has not re-opened since the storm. Still, that whole area needs a major facelift.

The entire area looks like Crap. Across the street is a old car dealer that is closed rumor has it it was sold and going to become another private school. This property is a terrible location for a business besides no parking the traffic in the area makes me avoid the area

Agree as to the derelict-looking situation in that whole area. There are so many building code violations over there. Only when someone complains are they forced to clean up. So, complain to the Town Of Hempstead Building Department and let these property owners dig into their deep pockets and re-invest in their properties! 489-5000.
