The Hewlett-Woodmere community held its first Memorial Day parade in three years on Monday, as crowds of spectators dotted Broadway. A service followed at Hewlett High School.

Soon after, Cedarhurst and Lawrence commemorated Memorial Day with a parade down Central Avenue followed by a service for veterans and active members of the armed forces in Andrew J. Parise Park.

Inwood held its annual Memorial Day Parade on Sunday along Doughty Boulevard.
