Lawrence Board of Education Member Nahum Marcus will be challenged on Tuesday by a former colleague on the board, Michael Hatten.
Juan Zepeda is also on the ballot, but is not campaigning, he said.
This race, along with another for the seat being vacated by Solomon Blisko, marks the first time in School District 14 where there are multiple candidates from the Orthodox community.
Marcus has served on the board for six years. Hatten served on the board from 2006-09.
