HAFTR Middle School Graduates Class of 2011

Valedictorians and salutatorian deliver speeches to multi-generational audience.

’s class of 2011 students graduated on Monday with an audience of more than 1,000 attendees at .

This year, HAFTR began the ceremonies with an invocation from student, Shlomi Oved, and concluded with a closing benediction from student, Tabitha Korn.

Boys’ valedictorian, Russell Charnoff, presented a D’var Torah and girls’ valedictorian, Yiela Saperstein, shared a class message. Both valedictorians delivered meaningful Divrei Torah. Boys’ salutatorian, Joshua Lederer, gave a Hakarat Hatov (special thanks) to the school and girls’ salutatorian, Harlee Miller, gave a Hakarat Hatov to parents. Student Rebecca Goldberg delivered a special message to her classmates.   

Mrs. Rochelle Brand, principal, and Rabbi Dovid Kupchik, menahel, conferred diplomas to graduates following a video presentation featuring the classmates. Families enjoyed a recessional in the main ballroom. Many alumni families - parents/grandparents who also attended HAFTR, Hillel or HILI — participated in special multi-generational photos with their graduate.
