Students Recognized as 'Good Citizens' by Lawrence Association

The Lawrence Association last week gave out Good Citizen Awards to seven students from public and private schools in the Lawrence-area.

The students were selected by their respective school’s faculty and are “good students and helpful in their school” and community, said Myrna Breitman, corresponding secretary of the Lawrence Association.

Edward Gottlieb, a member of the village zoning board and a former president of the Lawrence Association, also received the association’s annual Crowell Baker Award, which is passed on every year to someone devoted to volunteer service in the community.

“I can only hope I’ve contributed to the village as much as I received,” Gottlieb said.
