VIDEO: Hewlett Elementary Commemorates 9/11

Students pay tribute to the 10th anniversary of our nation's greatest tragedy.

Bright and early on Friday, a new generation of young Americans were taught that freedom sometimes comes with a steep price tag as the boys and girls of gathered on their school's front steps for a touching and heartfelt 9/11 ceremony.

A tree was planted in honor of Howard Selwyn, of Euro Brokers, Inc., who was killed in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorists attacks. Trees were also planted at every other school in the Hewlett-Woodmere School District and dedicated to local victims of 9/11.
