The Lawrence football team defeated Glen Cove Saturday 45-26 to advance to the Nassau County Championship game.
Jordan Fredericks rushed for 245 yards and three touchdowns to lead the charge for Lawrence, who will face Plainedge for the Nassau County Championship Saturday at 2 p.m at Hofstra's Shuart Stadium.
Joe Capobianco was on top of his game at quarterback, completing 11-of-18 passes for 218 yards and four touchdowns for an effective Lawrence offense.
Receiving touchdowns went to Fredericks, Simon Jones, Elijah Jones and Sam Locassio. For the defense, Fredericks recorded an interception, while Mike Spinelli had a sack.
