Facing a key 4th-and-10, Joe Capobianco connected with Sean Moran to keep the Golden Tornadoes' dreams alive, and then, it was time for 'the kick'.
Coach Joe Martillotti summoned Dan Reiskin for his first-career field goal attempt, and the senior soccer star drilled it to give Lawrence the 28-27 victory.
“I asked him if he can do it, and he said he was ready,” Lawrence Coach Joe Martillotti said. “He didn’t even blink an eye.”
“Usually, we score touchdowns, so I don’t have to kick field goals,” Reiskin said. “Coach had been saying it could come down to me.”
