California Kiwanis Reaches out to Five Towns Kiwanis for Sandy Relief

Kiwanis Club in California makes donation to Sandy victims in New York via Kiwanis Club of the Five Towns.

Steve, the son of Vince Geraci, president of Kiwanis Club of the Five Towns, relocated to California years ago. Keeping up his father's tradition in Kiwanis, he joined the Kiwanis Club of Santa Maria (Calif.) and is currently its president elect.

Sitting by watching victims of Sandy on TV, and seeing friends and relatives in trouble, Steve jumped into action. He rallied his club and raised $1,360 for New York victims of Superstorm Sandy. Vince Geraci, on a recent trip to California, accepted the pictured ceremonial check — a normal check was deposited in the Kiwanis Club of Five Towns bank account and is being used to help Sandy victims in the Five Towns.
