Hadassah Walk Raises Funds for Stem Cell Research

The Nassau Region of Hadassah's Walk/Run-a-thon for Stem Cell Research brought out hundreds of community members on May 5 to Oceanside Park.

Hadassah supports the promise of curing many diseases that too often affect us personally or our beloved friends and family. Scientists at Hadassah University Hospital in Jerusalem are making tremendous strides in their efforts to unravel the mysteries of life-threatening diseases including Alzheimer's, ALS, MS, Parkinson's, Autoimmune Conditions, Cancer, Diabetes, Spinal Cord injuries, and Traumatic Brain injuries. Much of their research centers around stem cells and Hadassah encourages neighbors to play an active role.

Councilman Anthony Santino presented a Certificate of Recognition to event Co-Chair Carol Konecky for her efforts to make the day a success.
